Terrífico Tuesday-Basheer’s Dream

So, you know that I like Latin music, but I also have a thing for Jazz (in this case Afro-Cuban Jazz). This song is great. I can’t help but bop my head when I listen to it. I hope that it makes your head bop, your toes tap and puts a smile on your face, too. Check out Basheer’s Dream, by Kenny Dorham, on the LBL Music Player.
Enjoy!

Maravilloso Monday-The Eye of the Beholder

People often say that ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder,’ and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves.
– Salma Hayek
I have to agree with Salma, here. Life is so much better when we look at the positive, the beautiful in people and things. So much of how we perceive the world has to do with our overall attitude about the world and ourselves. I choose to have a positive attitude. (You know, the glass half full, rather than half empty). A friend once told me that we should put as much thought into choosing our attitude each morning as we do into choosing our outfit. The way we wake up each morning can set our mood for the entire day. So, why not make a positive intention for each day and give gratitude for all that we have.
Wishing you all a BEAUTIFUL and POSITIVE week!
