This month is all about Telling 5 and Saving Lives!  As one of the bloggers in the Blog Your heart Out Campaign my goal is to inspire you to Tell 5 women how they can fight heart disease.  A great way to fight heart disease is to be healthy.  You know, eat right, exercise, surround yourself with the right people and keep your stress level at bay.   Since I just love exercise I thought that I’d share my killer “Series of 5” audio workout.  These Pilates moves will keep your abs in super shape, and hopefully inspire you to make exercise a priority in your life.  You can do these moves on a mat or on your bed.  Doesn’t matter to me, just move your body and remember to Tell 5 Women about GoRedForWomen.org.

Today is National wear Red Day! Please join me in wearing red in order to raise awareness of the risks of heart disease in women, and all Americans.  Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women in the USA?  And that 1 in 3 women die of heart disease each year?  (That’s 1 per minute).  It’s so sad but true.  Therefore, I am dedicating my time this month to be an expert blogger for the Blog Your Heart Out campaign.  In conjunction with the National Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Campaign I am helping raise awareness of the prevalence of heart disease in American women and sharing resources to help YOU prevent heart disease in yourself, in your family and amongst your friends.

So please put on something RED and make a difference today and help me spread the word about the importance of heart health!  Please Click Here for more information on how you can join me this month and GO RED FOR WOMEN!

BLOG YOUR HEART OUT: 2011

Too many women die each year because they are unaware that heart disease is their #1 killer. one in three women suffers in silence, and almost one woman dies every minute of this largely preventable disease.  In support of Go Red For Women and the American Heart Association, fitlosophy inc. is launching the 2nd annual BLOG YOUR HEART OUT campaign to create awareness and to encourage people to speak up against heart disease.

As part of this initiative, fitlosophy has selected 5 bloggers to SPEAK UP and share their personal stories in an effort to raise awareness through social media methods such as blogs, twitter, and facebook.  I have been selected to be one of these 5 bloggers!  Yippee!   The rest of the BLOG YOUR HEART OUT team  and I will be using our fitbooks to track our progress through the American Heart Association’s BetterU program – a free online 12-week nutrition & fitness makeover.
