30 in 30 Challenge!
Submitted by Ana Caban on July 11, 2011 - 8:00 am
Ok amigas, my “30 in 30″ Challenge is BACK! Most of you now that last December 1st I committed to doing some sort of exercise each day, for 30 days. I called it my “30 in 30 Challenge“. My hope was to start the new year off in great shape, (i.e. without putting on any holiday weight) and feeling great. Well, the Challenge went great. People from all over the world joined me, followed my progress online and shared their progress with me. It was awesome! (You know, if you joined me or at least followed along).
Fast forward 7 months and my “30 in 30″Challenge is back. On August 12th, 2011 I’m hosting a HUGE party in downtown L.A. My goal? To look fabulous in my custom-made dress. (Yes, I am having a dress MADE for this party. Stay tuned for more on the dress in the near future). Anyway, I want to look great in my new dress, and as the host of this slammin’ party. So, I decided to do the Challenge, again. That being said, I’d like to invite YOU to join ME beginning Monday, July 11th (or whenever you read this).
The good news? I’m not planning on (nor asking you to) run 10 miles a day. On the contrary, I just plan on doing SOMETHING each day. Sure, on somedays I will jog on others I may just do some Pilates, Yoga, or squats and lunges. The goal? To move my body, look and feel great!
I’ll be journaling my progress at www.anacabantv.com and here, on my La Buena Life blog.

P.S. July has 31 days, which means we do get “a day off”. :)

I’m ready to go! I started Day 1 with the Cardio Pilates DVD. I’ve lost 60 pounds and have 60 to go. I’ve been exercising about 4 days per week. With the 30 day challenge, I’m going to rev it up!

Your challenge came at the right time for me. I’ve been in a serious exercise rut using family obligations/worries to get in the way of doing something/anything for myself. I’ve always loved your Beginners Pilates DVD so I’ve decided to join in a few days late and I’m on Day 3 of forcing myself to do it. I’m discouraged to be back following Tara (I used to do the full tape) but I’m a big believer that movement heals, so here I go…Thanks for the inspiration.

Christine,
I’m so glad that you have joined us. Do whatever you can. Everything counts. I look forward to hearing about your progress. I am sure that you will be back to doing my entire Beginners program in no time.

This is great! We are having a lot of family stress with serious illnesses, etc. Why does stress all drive us to the refrigerator???? Thanks again Ana!

I’m on day 51 of the “30 in 30″. My workouts had become irregular after taking my vacation in August so finally on Oct 18, I decided to do the “30 in 30″ – only I had a little mental lapse with the 30 minutes part, although I do have a physical job : ) Some days I’m doing a 40 or 60 minute fitness DVD, some days it’s a 13 minute Pilates workout from one of Ana’s many awesome DVDs! Anyway, the result is that I’m on a roll! I’ve never committed to doing an intentional time of exercise for so many consecutive days in my life so this is great and I feel great! Thanks again, Ana, for continuing to inspire us!
