6 great uses for lemons, for beauty, home and health.



Freshen your breath!

Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice on your tongue, swish and swallow. Not only can this lower pH levels, but it also kills stinky-breath causing bacteria.


Moisturize your cara (face)!

Don’t let the cold weather get your skin down. Mix even parts of lemon juice and honey. Apply to your cara y cuello, (face and neck), and relax for 10 minutes. Rinse off with cold water and you’re good to go.



Stinky house?

Add a few lemon peels to your winter fire or let them boil on the stove. There’s nothing quite like a fresh, citrus scent, floating through the air.


Natural Cleaner

Mix equal parts of lemon juice and water, pour into a spray bottle and voilà, you have your own all-purpose cleaner.



New year, clean body

Lemon water is a great detoxifier for your body. Squeeze the juice from half of a lemon in your water. For added flavor, cut up the remainder of the lemon and toss into the glass.


And my personal favorite…

Squash a cold

Put 1 Tbsp of freshly grated ginger in boiling water and steep for 3 minutes. In a mug place 1 Tbsp each of lemon juice and honey. Strain the ginger tea into the mug, stir and say adios to that cold!

    Ana – I love you and your Pilates mat workouts. It transformed by already somewhat lean dancers body into an even leaner fat burning machine. I have put on the pounds since I got older and recently starting the DVDs again. The results in just one week are amazing.

    Sipping warm lemon water will aleviate adnominal bloating and constipation in just a few hours. Screen the juice of a fresh lemon into a small glass of filtered water. Adding raw unfiltered apple cider vnegar to the mix makes it work even better!! See on you the mat! I work out to your DVDs at least four times per week!!
