Tentación Thursday-California Baby® Sunscreen

Submitted by on April 16, 2009 - 10:30 am

Sunscreen is not just for summer. The sun’s rays are very powerful, even if it seems like it’s not sunny out. So it’s really important to wear sunscreen, daily. I was turned on to California Baby® Suncare products when my son was born. They are non-chemical and tear free. (And they are not just for babies). Unlike chemical sun filtering agents, California Baby® Suncare sunscreen lotions and sticks sit on top of the skin scattering and reflecting dangerous
UV rays. I particularly like California Baby® Swimmer’s Defense products. They work to rebalance pH and wash away damaging chemicals. California Baby’s® non-chemical PABA free sunscreen employs a highly micronized titanium dioxide (non- whitening) that scatters and reflects dangerous UV rays, offering UVA-UVB broad-spectrum protection. They have also added Japanese Green Tea (for its anti-oxidant properties) and a beautiful essential oil blend.Their formula is simple and elegant. It glides on easily and will not slip off when it comes into contact with water, so you can feel comfortable that it will last. (Ladies, this sunscreen works great under make-up. It is non-greasy and creates a nice “cover-up” base under foundation or powder).

Last summer I asked my mother in law if I could borrow some sunscreen for my son. She replied that she doesn’t use sunscreen because it has terrible chemicals in it. I was a little frustrated as I didn’t want my 3 year old to get sunburned and he was going to be out all day. Even so, she had a good point. The parabens and other chemicals we find in a lot of the products we put right on our skin can cause cancer. So I was thrilled to get my own bottle of California Baby sunscreen. It has a light smell and still feels like sunscreen, but the ingredients are readable. Thanks Ana!

Ana, I hope you had a wonderful first Thanksgiving with your baby boy and your visiting family. I can’t wait til the Sugar-free challenge starts again. I’m feeling a need right about now. LOL! Need to pull out your Ab Challenge video. That’ll burn a few calories for sure. If you ever come to DC for a workshop, I’ll be first in line to sign up. All the best and thanks for being you.
