Submitted by on February 2, 2010 - 11:30 am

Beyonce, You Go Girl! The winner of 6 Grammy Awards on Sunday night has long been one of my favorite workout artists. Her music keeps me moving on the treadmill. Here’s her Grammy Award-Winning Song of The Year, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It). She also took home Grammys in the following categories:

“Halo” Best Female Pop Vocal Performance
“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” Best Female R&B Vocal Performance
“At Last” Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance
“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” Best R&B Song
“I Am… Sasha Fierce” Best Contemporary R&B Album

I don’t know, Beyonce. Cory may have better moves than you.

    Hi, Ana,
I know I’ve told you before and I think I may have posted it before, but I’m posting it again. : ) I’ve been athletic all my life but from about 1998-2006 my exercise routine had been very sporadic – cycling lots in the summer, hit and miss exercise in the winter, etc. Anyway, in 2006 I had been looking at some Pilates and yoga DVDs but wasn’t really sure which one I should get. On Oct 31, 2006, one of my patients told my about her favorite Pilates DVD featuring (drum roll please), Ana Caban! So I went out and bought Pilates: Maintenance Pilates for Weight Loss. I did the DVD the next day which was the first time I had ever exercised using a DVD PLUS the first time I ever did Pilates. Needless to say, I went out the next day and bought Pilates Quick Start which was less advanced and more appropriate for me. The rest, as they say, is history! One DVD led to another so now I incorporated strength training/cardio and BOSU DVDs as well as Pilates. I just had a bio scan done on Saturday and my percentage body fat has decreased by 6% in the past year!
I created an Excel spread sheet to help keep track of my workouts. It’s great because I can see how much I’ve done, the last time I used a particular DVD or if I’ve increased the amount of weights I’m using. Ana, your weekly updates on your training reminded me of that.
Anyway, all the best as you start on the home stretch! We know you’ll achieve your goal. Thanks again for being a great inspiration!
    Take Care,
